Rusmolco shared its experience in sowing crops

Rusmolco has arranged the Field Day for employees of the company on the basis of Bashmakovsky seed-processing plant, which is one of the most advanced enterprises in the Penza region. It was organised in terms of internal training and intended for experience interchange and increase competence of specialists on crop and seed production. 

About 40 employees from 8 company’s farms has taken part in the training program. These are agronomists, directors and engineers of the farms, representatives of the head office, as well as partners of “Rusmolco”.

The Field Day has been divided into several parts. At first, the participants have visited Rusmolco’s seed plant located in the Bashmakovо area. The productivity of the plant amounts to 10 tons per hour for wheat seeds. The visitors have got acquainted with the overall work of the plant, including the process of receiving, cleaning, calibrating, treating and packaging seeds; work of the drier; and storages for keeping prepared produces.

Afterwards, the employees have learned about the economic efficiency of the methods of growing crops and discussed schemes of application of plant protection products. With the received information, the staff of farms have got the opportunity to correct their manufacturing plans to the next sowing campaign.

In the third part of the program, the participants have visited the fields of “Rusmolco” in the Bashmakovо areaand examined the sowing of 8 sorts of winter wheat. The specialists of separate subdivision “Bashmakovskoe” told the colleagues about the peculiarities of growing and advantages of each sort of crop and consulted on the choice of the right sort for growing. Such format will allow the employees to pick out the right sort of winter wheat for the August sowing.

Moreover, they have examined demonstrative fields with experimental crops such as soybeans, barley and wheat. The company grows crops in several areas using various methods such as no-till technology, experimental application of different amount of mineral fertilizers and many others. Experimental sowing allows the company to determine the optimal ways of growing crops.

“Rusmolco” pays a large attention to the staff training. There are more than 1600 people working and each of them plays a big role in company’s life. Many various training programs are always available for employees. And next year, there will be a new large project called “The Internal training” where not only managers will take part, but only specialists of the company.
