Minister of agriculture of RF visits “Rusmolco” facility

The minister of agriculture of Russia N.V. Fedorov visited a dairy facility of “Rusmolco” for 3600 heads in Narovchat region as a part of his visit to Penza region and made a helicopter flyover of the facility under construction in Nizhny Lomov region for 4600 heads.

The minister of agriculture of Russian Federation Nikolai Fedorov visited the facilities of the “Russian dairy company” (“Rusmolco”) – the leading producer of milk in Penza region and one of the key players on the federal market.

The facilities facility to be visited was the farm for 3600 heads in village Potodeevo, Narovchat region. The contemporary facility, which is situated on the territory of 44 ha was put into operation in 2010 and became the first industrial-type dairy enterprise in Penza region. The project is designed to produce 30 tons of milk. The project was implemented with the support of the regional authority; the total amount of investments is 1.6 billion rubles.

The facility meets the highest global standards, enables to create comfortable conditions for the animals and ensures the highly productive work of the service staff. The state-of-the-art technologies, which are used in the global dairy farming, high-tech western equipment, as well as imported cattle, which has the highest genetic potential in the world are implemented at the enterprise.

As of today the livestock count at the enterprise is approximately 4600 heads of bovine cattle, including 3010 cows. Currently, the daily milk production of the facility amounts to 80 tons. The gross milk yield for 2012 amounted to almost 18600 tons, the milk yield per cow per annum – 9050 kg of milk, which exceeds the average country indicator by more than 2,5 times.

Nikolai Fedorov got acquainted with the implementation of the advanced technologies, high-tech milking, storage and processing equipment. According to the results of the introductory visit he remarked, that the “Rusmolco” facility in Penza region is a good example of how modern Russian dairy should look like and operate. Originally built in accordance with the highest requirements, and absorbing the latest innovations, the facility is able to compete with the leading global producers in terms of all kinds of parameters, which is very vital considering Russian joining the WTO.

The president of a limited liability company “Managing company “Rusmolco” Rashid Khayrov said: “The facility in Narovchat region became the first “greenfield” “Rusmolco facility. Presently, the enterprise is working as planned. Last year additional 1600 heads were imported to the enterprise, and now the facility is gradually reaching the design capacity. We are not content with what we’ve achieved. The short-term plans of the company include the commissioning of the facility in v. Arshinovka and the beginning of the new projects”.
