Milking parlors


Taking into consideration the modern requirements to milk outlet control the priority need for the dairy complex is to have two milking parlors: the main one for milking healthy cows and the auxiliary one, of less capacity, for milking problems cows.

The US Company Bou-Matic whose milking parlors are used in the complex has 40 years of experience of working with large herds of cows over the world.

The main milking parlor  Рneumatic pusher Tanks for milk storage

The main milking parlor in the complex represents an industrial carousel milking parlor designed for milking 72 cows simultaneously. This process is controlled by only 4 persons. For cattle management during milking a special pneumatic pusher is installed in an accumulation unit before a milking hall that pushes softly the cows to enter on the milking stalls through identification gates where the identification number of a cow is read from the tag attached to each animal and the obtained data transferred to a control unit.

Milking of this style is very careful due to application of a unique vacuum system. During milking the main health parameters of each animal are monitored. All data are directed to the central computer that forms three compact production forms containing information for the enterprise head, for the zootechnical service and for the veterinary service.

The smaller milking parlor  The Parallel milking systems Milking units

The smaller milking parlor includes the Parallel milking systems consisting of 2 lines with 12 stalls. The unique technological feature of this system is separation of the milking zone from the zone with the technological equipment. All components of the system, except milking units and control panels, locate in separate rooms; this improves their resistance to wear-out and the personnel performance. It should be stressed that at parallel style milking one operator is capable to service to 10 cows. Therefore, the whole process will be controlled by only 2 persons. After milking, all cows from one line are released simultaneously and the manure is washed away with a powerful fan-like pressurized water streams from on-floor sprinklers. Such technique permits to maintain the milking parlor ideally clean and to keep clean the udder and milk.

Milk from the milking parlor via a milk gage gets into milk pipelines and further on to the milk tank. The milk gage is the unique device being one of world Top-50 agricultural inventions. It is capable to make the second-by-second measurements of the milk passing through it and to read all data about cow health. Via a filter the milk is pumped into milk cooling tanks after passing through a preliminary cooling system. The storage capacity of cooling tanks is over 70 tons.
