Rusmolco began a spring sowing campaign

Rusmolco (one of 3 largest milk producers in Russia) has launched a spring sowing campaign in the Penza region. The work has started according to the schedule. The area for spring sowing in 2023 is about 65 thousand hectares. The resulting crop will provide the livestock of cattle with their own feed.

The company conducts spring sowing in ten districts of the Penza region: Serdobsky, Kolyshleisky, Kuznetsk, Pachelmsky, Penza, Narovchatsky, Nizhnelomovsky, Bashmakovsky, Kamensky and Belinsky. The main part of the area – about 70% or 54,000 hectares - is devoted to spring crops, such as barley, wheat, corn, soybeans, mustard, sunflower, beetroot, oats, peas. Perennial grasses will be sown on an area of about 2,000 hectares. Winter crops cover an area of 8,000 hectares.

The company's crop producers have already started sowing spring crops: barley, wheat, mustard, sunflower, beetroot, oats, peas. Late sowing crops will be planted in May: corn and soybeans.

“Rusmolco” prepared in advance for spring sowing. All farms of the company are provided with means of production: seeds are prepared and purchased, and plant protection products and mineral fertilizers are supplied. During the autumn-winter period, agricultural machinery has been fully prepared: combines, seeders, sprayers, loaders, tillage machine, trailer units, etc. It is planned to use about 100 units of trailed and self-propelled vehicles for sowing works of 2023.

Crop production is one of the most important activities of Rusmolco. The company's land bank in the Penza region is over 152,000 hectares. Recently, a closed cycle has been formed in Rusmolco, including the production, storage and processing of grain.

The direction of crop productionof Rusmolco is closely connected with the development of projects in dairy farming. Throughout the entire period of activity, the company fully provides the growing livestock with feed of its own production.
