Rusmolco prepared 9 500 tons of seeds

Rusmolco continues to develop the production of high-quality seeds and announces the completion of the preparation of the seed material.

In total, for the period from August 2019 up to May 2020 Rusmolco prepared 9 500 tons of seeds of four main agricultural crops: winter and spring wheat, malting barley, soya. Out of that volume, 6 500 tons are used for own farms, and 3 000 tons - for commercial purposes.

For the sowing campaign 2020, Rusmolco has prepared more than 20 varieties of winter wheat of the European and Russian selections, four varieties of soft and hard spring wheat, five varieties of soya, including new varieties of the Canadian selection and 2 800 tons of malting barley seeds.

All the seeds are produced at the modern seed plant. The capacity is 10 tons per hour or 25 000 tons per year. The plant is located in the Bashmakovo area, Penza region. 

The seed plant is equipped with modern European equipment. The quality of the seeds is tested, supervised and controlled in the laboratory. The capacity of the seed plant allows preparing seeds of cereals, legumes, and small-seeded crops. The up-to-dated equipment and computerized process ensures the production of seeds with high sowing conditions. The company tests all the varieties on its areas.

All the seeds go through a full cycle of technological operations: cleaning, calibration, treatment, inoculation and packaging.

In 2017, Rusmolco’s seed plant was included in the unified register of seed producers of the Russian Federation. That gives the company a right to sell a certified seed material to other enterprises signed with QA (quality assurance).

Rusmolco has been cooperating with seeds originators from Canada, Poland, France, and Germany as well as with RF scientific institutions.

As result, every year the sales of high-potential seeds from Rusmolco go up.
