“Rusmolco” has finished the 2012 harvest

The company «Rusmolco» implemented all of their plans for the gathering of grain-crops and harvesting of all types of feed within a prescribed period of time, thus concluding the 2012 harvest. According to the results of harvest the gross yield of all the enterprises of «Rusmolco» amounted to 38 thousand tones, the average yield made 21.8 hundreds kilograms per hectare. This result was achieved in spite of the dry year and the total absence of rain in the first half of May.

The gathering of forage crops, grown for livestock is also complete. One and a half years supply was created by the enterprises of «Rusmolco». The volume of forage in natural terms amounted to: 4 thousand tons of hay, 45 thousand tons of haylage, 52 thousand tons of corn silage and 11 thousand tons of grain corn for the high moisture corn. Due to the high productivity of corn intended for silage, we managed to increase the volume of corn harvested for grain. The plan for the harvesting of sunflower and sugar beets is also completed.

During harvest all nine enterprises of «Rusmolco» demonstrated well-coordinated, high quality work. Particularly distinguished LLC «RAO «Narovchatskoye», LLC «Mochleyskoe» and LLC «Prigorodnoe», which fully implemented the plan and harvested the largest amount of feed.

Today the employees of «Rusmolco» have already begun preparation for spring seeding. The preparation work of the fields for the seeding of spring crops are in their final stages.

LLC “Russian dairy company”

LLC «Russian dairy company» («RUSMOLCO») was established in October 2007. The company unites a number of farms in seven districts of the Penza region and specializes in dairy farming and crop production. The area of land under management – is over 133 thousand hectares. There are 7.8 thousand head of livestock as of 01.06.2012; of that 4,4 thousand head are mature milk producing cows.

Today «Rusmolco» is the largest and the most progressive producer of raw milk in the region. The company is doing some renovation on the old farms and implementing new construction projects of modern dairy complexes. Now the company has two new projects in the Penza region: industrial complex for 3600 cows in Narovchat district and a modern farm for 1200 cows in the Kuznetsk district.

30 January 2012 «Rusmolco» was signed a partnership agreement with one of the global leaders in the agricultural sector, OLAM International Ltd. for the purpose of further developing dairy farming and crop production in the Penza region. The parties intend to invest up to U.S. 400 million in the first stage framework of the program implementation up to 2015. The partners ‘plans include increasing dairy livestock by 20 thousand head, as well as the addition of 106 thousand hectares of cultivated land. The company employs more than 1000 people.
