Rusmolco has launched a new seed line

The Russian Dairy Companykeeps building a seed plant in Bashmakovo, Penza region. Within the project, the specialists of the company have tested a new line of the seed treatment.


Within a general concept of creating a closed loop cycle production, Rusmolco continuous a project realization on the seed plant with the capacity of 10 tons an hour, in Bashmakovo area. This project, costing about 160 million rubles, was launched at the end of 2015 and after it’s finished it will allow preparing seeds for any kind of crops and vegetable farming. The project envisages building a raw materials warehouse, a grain storage and a seed workshop.

Construction works are going at a high rate. So far, a grain storage is mounted. A seed workshop is complete for 80%. The equipment installation is begun. As of now, a pickling machine along with a transport equipment is already mounted. The pickling machine, made by Petkus - one of the leading global manufacturers – will allow caring out pickling and inoculation up to 15 tons of seeds per hour. 

The first seeds lot was treated earlier in the week as a part ofstart-up and shake-down tests. The test has showed  advantages of the new equipment comparing to the traditional methods, used earlier. Coating quality of the pickling material is significantly better on the new line, which will have a positive impact on the crop yield and seed preservation in the future. 

Rusmolco plans already to use this new equipment for treating spring crop seeds - 2016.
