Stanislav Frolov: for 12 months of last year Rusmolco produced 147 thousand tons of raw milk

In 2022, the Russian Dairy Company demonstrated positive dynamics in all the areas of its business, including dairy farming. High indicators are a result of the systematic implementation of the effective dairy development strategy, the main objectives of which are to increase the milk production and realize the potential of the dairy herd.

Last year the company continued to increase the production capacity of the country's largest dairy farm for 7,200 dairy heads in the Serdobsk area of the Penza region. After reaching the full capacity the farm will produce up to 100 thousand tons of milk per year. Additionally to say, the company pays special attention to improving operational efficiency of farms. In particular, the dairy farm for 3,600 heads in the Narovchat area of the Penza region was modernized, which would allow to increase the volume of the raw milk production by 10%.

Rusmolco continues to develop a long-term comprehensive program of intensification of the milk production. The program was developed by the company’s specialists and is aimed at improving indicators in such critical areas as feeding, genetics and breeding, herd health and comfort.

The concept of feeding co-opts the preparation of high-quality roughage as the most effective component in the healthy diet for the animals: for their physiology and digesting. In the feeding process Rusmolco widely uses modern digital technologies which significantly increase the efficiency of performing production tasks at each stage.

To maximize the realization of the genetical potential of animals, the company's specialists identified the most important indicators (milk yield, milk composition, health, reproduction, exterior parameters) that affect the quality of the herd and began the work to improve them. In accordance with the highlighted indicators, the correct selection of the semen of bulls-producers is a very sensitive moment. Today, to fill the farms, Rusmolco mainly uses its own repair youngstock, come out from the semen of elite breeding bulls. It is important to make a note that Rusmolco launched a herd reproduction center for 5,200 heads in 2017.

The health monitoring system helps to minimize the culling rate of fresh cows, which is extremely significant since fresh cows are the key factor of the high productivity of the herd which has a direct impact on the company's economy.

For 12 months of last year, Rusmolco produced 147 thousand tons of raw milk. The average daily milk production per cow was over 11.5 thousand tons. At the end of the year, the total number of the cattle on the company's three dairy farms reached 33 thousand heads.

By the end of 2022, the company has formed a stock of feed for 16 months. The own feed base makes possible to provide the cattle with high-quality balanced feeds which has a positive impact on the entire chain of the milk production
