Rusmolco`s seed preparation centre confirms its status of the seed production enterprise

A seed preparation center, one of the business units of the Russian Dairy Company, has confirmed its status of the seed-production enterprise and received a conformity certificate. Certification is carried out every five years by Rosselkhozcentre, federal state budgetary institution. The status of the seed-production enterprise gives a right to sell seed material to third parties.

To re-confirm the seed-growing status, the specialists of the Russian Dairy Company have done a lot of work: to this day, all the processes at the plant (acceptance, cleaning, calibration, etching of seeds) are built flawlessly. Dryers, warehouses for storing finished products - everything works with 100% accuracy.

The commission for the assessment of compliance with norms and standards of seed production was comprised of representatives of Rosselkhozcentre, Penza Ministry of Agriculture, Federal Scientific Agricultural Center.

The commission members visited the plant, got acquainted with all the production processes, checked the quality of the final products. The professionals marked with a white stone an exact functioning of the logistics system at the enterprise. Additionally to say, the experts necessarily examined seed crops of winter and spring wheat, malting barley and soybeans of higher reproductions.

For information: the Rusmolco seed plant was launched in 2017 in the Bashmakovo area, Penza region. The production capacity of the enterprise is 10 tons an hour or 25,000 tons a year. The plant is equipped with the most modern technological kits and a batch-type etching machine. The quality of etching and preparation of seed material is controlled in the own laboratory. The technological process is automated which implies a minimum number of people at the enterprise. The seed centre operates under license agreements with both domestic scientific institutions and foreign partners.

Today Rusmolco provides high-quality seed material not only to the own farms but also sells seeds to enterprises of the Penza and other regions of the Russian Federation. Since the launch of the seed project in 2017, the company has been demonstrating systematic dynamics of the development of the seed segment by an average of 20% a year. In 2021, seed production reached 14,000 tons. In 2022, the sown areas occupy about 11,000 hectares, 80% of which are allocated for seed purposes.
